A: You get to meet folks with the same problems you have, and learn how they have solved them...or at least how they cope with them. You learn about State mandates, although that might well fit into the "problems" category just mentioned. You learn about the latest technologies used by other institutions in Texas. You gain access to the TAPPA-List (a listserv), where members ask and answer questions.  You are able to attend TAPPA meetings and meet representatives of companies who are actively involved with Texas higher education, companies that have decided to invest considerable resources in solving our shared problems. You get to meet your peers from other colleges and universities. You become affiliated with TASSCUBO, APPA, CAPPA and DFWAPPA. Last but not least, members are entitled to meet Lalo.
