Assistant Director, Facilities Services
(Position No. 070607053) $3077/Mo., Full-time. Facilities
Services Department. Responsible for shipping and receiving,
asset inventory and custodial services. Responsible for
providing administrative and technical assistance in planning,
coordinating, reviewing, overseeing the
construction, maintenance, remodeling/renovation and repair
activities and/or projects of location
building facilities, equipment, grounds and landscape.
Plans, organizes and coordinates through supervisory personnel
and contracted services the operation, maintenance and repair
functions of the unit or units of assignments and the
comprehensive program for preventative maintenance. Insures that
job and work order procedures are followed and properly
reported. Schedules and establishes priorities for repair work;
insures that personnel, supplies and equipment are efficiently
utilized. Prepares cost estimates; assists in preparation of
budget and monitors budget expenditures. Participates in
planning and writing specifications for new and replacement
materials and equipment. May be responsible for providing
content for the campus/location web page as it relates to the
services and/or activities of the department. Selects, trains
and evaluates assigned staff. Evaluates employee performance;
interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hiring. May
act as a liaison in the planning, review and coordination of
construction and renovation projects performed by outside
contractors. Performs duties of Director in his/her absence.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or journeyman's license) in
mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering plus two years
of facilities maintenance experience or two years
of college or completion program certificate from a technical
trade school with related course work plus four years of
facilities maintenance experience. Requires the ability to
utilize computer technology to input, access data, maintain
records and review/generate reports. Ability to communicate
effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

GENERAL
SUMMARY:
Responsible
