TAPPA (Texas Association of Physical Plant Administrators) is a nonprofit
corporation in the state of Texas.
Its purpose is to promote interest and proficiency in the
administration of college and university physical plant operations; to aid
and supplement the work of the Texas Association of State Senior College
and University Business Officers (TASSCUBO), the National Association of
Physical Plant Administrators of Universities and Colleges (APPA), and the
Central States Association of Physical Plant Administrators of
Universities and Colleges (CAPPA); and, is not organized for the sole
benefit or use of any one university or college. The corporation is not
intended to be, nor will it be a foundation.
Membership is as follows:
A. Institutional Members
It is understood that membership is through institutions, and that
institutional membership shall be open to colleges and universities in
Texas. Persons with Physical Plant management-level responsibility within
these institutions which belong to this association shall be known as
institutional members. Institutional members are eligible to vote, may
hold elective office, and must pay regular dues. Dues or only $25.00 per

B. Affiliate Members
Affiliate members shall be other professional personnel employed at
member institutions or professional physical plant personnel at other
educational institutions who are engaged in work related to physical plant
administration and have an interest in the professional activities of
TAPPA. Affiliate members are eligible to vote, may not hold elective
office, and must pay regular dues.Dues or only $25.00 per 10 people per

C. Subscribing Members
Subscribing members shall be businesses or other professionals or
entities that have an objective or purpose related to physical plant
administration such as consultants, vendors, etc. Subscribing members may
not vote, may not hold elective office, and must pay subscribing member
dues.

D. Emeritus Members
Members emeritus are members who have retired from member institutions
after long and faithful service who have at least five years membership in
TAPPA or have served TAPPA with distinction. Nominations for emeritus
membership may be made by any voting member to the "Special Awards
Committee". Emeritus membership can be awarded as a matter of
business at any annual meeting. Emeritus members may vote and may hold
elective office. They pay no dues and are eligible to participate in
annual meetings at reduced rates.
